On behalf of our Club President, Club Captain, Board of Management, Age Group Managers and all of our Club members, I am excited to welcome your family to the Brighton Surf Lifesaving Club (South Australia) community. We hope that this is the start of a life-long involvement with the Surf Lifesaving movement.
At Brighton Surf Lifesaving Club (BSLSC) we focus on having fun, teaching, enhancing skills and emphasising community awareness for all ages and backgrounds.
In our Nippers Program, we aim to:
Have fun while creating lifelong friendships
Our Nippers start learning about surf awareness and safety through the Surf Lifesaving Surf Education Program. They participate in swimming, running, board paddling and wading through fun activities and games. While competition is an important element, the surf awareness and education aspect is our primary aim. This is done in an environment of a fun and healthy lifestyle which is unique to surf lifesaving.
Over the past few years our Club has continued to expand its membership, be a leader in surf education, and enhance its competition performance to be one of the best in South Australia. The position the Club is in, comes from the extraordinary voluntary effort put in by members of our great Club.
Surf Lifesaving is one of the lowest cost sports or activities you or your children can be involved in, because just about everything in the Surf Lifesaving movement is run by volunteers. There are many areas that you can help out, such as Age Group Managers, coaches, water safety, marshals, officials, BBQ or Set up/Pack up. By helping out, you will not only be helping our Nippers, but you will find more satisfaction, enjoyment and friendship while showing support for your kids' involvement and effort.
Your Age Group Manager or any Committee Member will be happy to help should you require further information.
See you at the beach!
