Bronze Medallion & SRC Skills Maintenance: Wet Sessions 2015
Skills Maintenance dates for the wet component of Bronze Medallion and Surf Rescue Certificates have been set by the TAPP committee. As previously mentioned, we have continued with last year's format of splitting the wet and dry components of your Skills Maintenance. The dates set for the wet component of Bronze Medallion and Surf Rescue Certificate Skills Maintenance are:
- Saturday 7th November - 9am to 1pm
- Sunday 15th November - 9am to 1pm
* Please note: The last Run/Swim/Run courses will be conducted at 12noon on each of these days. Please arrive on the beach prior to this time.
The wet component of Skills Maintenance will include Run/Swim/Run for all members, as well as a Board or Tube Rescue. For members who have completed their Advanced Resuscitation Techniques Certificate Skills Maintenance, we will also cover Signals and Radio component to finish your Bronze Medallion Skills Maintenance. There is no booking required for the wet component of Skills Maintenance. This was required only for the dry component.
For members looking to complete Skills Maintenance in Powercraft awards (IRB Crewperson and Silver Medallion: IRB Driver), we will also be conducting these sessions at both of the above times.
For all members who have not yet completed a dry Skills Maintenance session, you must attend a dry session to complete the resuscitation component of your Skills Maintenance. We will not be conducting resuscitation Skills Maintenance at wet sessions. More information on the dry Skills Maintenance are available here.

Bronze Medallion & SRC Skills Maintenance: Dry Sessions 2015
Skills Maintenance dates for the dry land component of Bronze Medallion and Surf Rescue Certificates have been set by the TAPP committee. In response to the overwhelming success and support of the format we introduced last year, we are again going to split the dry and wet components of Skills Maintenance, as well as have allocated time slots for the dry sessions. We are now advertising the dry component and inviting people to come along, with the wet component to be conducted in mid November. The dates set are:
- Sunday 18th October - 9am to 2pm start times
- Monday 26th October - 6pm to 8pm start times
- Saturday 31st October - 9am to 12noon start times
These dry land sessions will cover the usual Resuscitation, Signals and Radio components of your Bronze Medallion or Surf Rescue Certificate proficiencies. Members who have not yet completed their Advanced Resuscitation Techniques proficiency will be able to be catered for at some of these sessions at the discretion of the Chief Training Officer.
To book a timeslot for your dry session, please follow this link. Remember, your actual allocated 1 hour time slot will be communicated to you after you have submitted your booking request. This is not an automated process, and may take some time for you to receive confirmation of your allocated time.
